The beginnings of Your Move and subsequent growth was born out of a real entrepreneurial spirit and ambition that can still be seen throughout the business today. Industry Regulation
All estate agents in the residential property industry are regulated by The Estate Agents Act 1979 (EAA) and also general consumer protection legislation such as the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs).
Your Move is a member of the following trade associations for sales and letting agents:
- Founder member of the Estate Agency Foundation, British Franchise Association, Society for Technical Insurance
- Founder members of the ombudsman scheme with emphasis on the TPO for Letting Agents
- A member firm of ARLA since the early 1980s
- Member agent of My Deposits
- All Financial Consultants are ceMAP qualified and many hold Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) qualifications
- All staff sit a Money Laundering exam and are aware of the Proceeds of Crime Act
The Property Ombudsman (TPO)

The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA)
ARLA is the only professional and regulatory body solely concerned with residential lettings.
Your Move Lettings have ARLA qualified staff at every Lettings branch —assuring you of the highest standards of service.
All Your Move Lettings client accounts are independently audited every year by ARLA which means you can be sure our systems are following the Principles of Professional Conduct set by ARLA.
