We’re delighted to report that our team in Deal are preparing to not only take part in a great fundraising event but will also appear on local radio, this Saturday, to talk about it.
In all, 20 Your Move colleagues will be heading out on 18th June to take part in the Cliff Top Challenge – an annual event which raises money for the charity, Breast Cancer Now. It encourages local runners, of all abilities, to complete one of the many running routes that the organisers set whilst supported, along the way, by the many spectators that the event attracts.
It’s the seventh event of its kind and one that’s expected to be well attended, as Daniel Townsend, our Branch Manager in Deal, explains:
“It’s a great local event and one we decided to get involved in last year as our colleague, Peter Cory, is such an avid supporter and participant. It’s led us to sponsor the Challenge and to, this year, also take part - as well as be invited onto the local radio to discuss this.
Peter will be interviewed on Deal Radio at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday (28th May), ahead of the Challenge, which will provide him with a great opportunity to promote our fundraising efforts and, we hope, encourage further donations for the charity.
The interview came about because we’ve already got such a great relationship with the radio station, partly because we helped one of their presenters in selling a property around two years ago – and we’ve kept in touch ever since.
We’re all excited about Peter’s appearance and also the Cliff Top Challenge itself. It should be great fun but importantly a great chance to help the organisers to raise much needed funds for a very worthy cause.”
