Critical illness insurance pays you a cash sum if you meet the definition of one of the critical illnesses covered by the policy and survive for 10 days. The money could help you keep up with your monthly bills if you need to take time off work, or cover costs related to your illness or treatment. It could even help pay for adaptations to your home.

Legal & General’s flexible Critical Illness Cover offers:
- Children’s Critical Illness Cover as standard. Terms and conditions apply.
- Legal & General will pay your lump sum payment early if you’re diagnosed with a terminal illness that meets the policy definition during the term of the policy and you’re not expected to live longer than 12 months. Once payment is made your cover will end and no further claims will be paid.
- Additional benefits are included at no extra cost, such as Free Life Cover and Accidental Death Benefit.

- You don’t need to make a claim on your policy to get the help you need, you can get in touch with your nurse directly.

- Support is included as standard from day one of your policy.
